WhatsApp arbeitet möglicherweise an einer neuen Community-Funktion [Update]

WhatsApp ist zweifellos eine der größten Instant-Messaging-Plattformen überhaupt. Obwohl die App so groß und beliebt ist, fügt sie nur langsam neue Funktionen hinzu. Zum Beispiel mehrere beliebte IM-Apps bieten nahtlose Chat-Sicherung und -Synchronisierung für Android und iOS, WhatsApp hat dies jedoch erst seit Kurzem zu ermöglichen iOS-Benutzer migrieren ihre Chats auf Android, und selbst das ist auf Samsung Galaxy-Geräte beschränkt und bleibt fehlerhaft und weit von ihren eigenen Anweisungen entfernt. Dennoch haben wir jetzt erfahren, dass WhatsApp an einer neuen Community-Funktion für seine App arbeiten könnte, und wie es aussieht, könnte sie sich von den aktuellen Implementierungen von Gruppen unterscheiden.

Ein APK-Teardown kann oft Funktionen vorhersagen, die in einem zukünftigen Update einer Anwendung verfügbar sein werden, aber es ist möglich, dass eine der hier erwähnten Funktionen in einer zukünftigen Version nicht verfügbar sein wird. Dabei handelt es sich allesamt um neue String-Ergänzungen bei WhatsApp, die auf die Arbeit an einer neuen Community-Funktion hinweisen. Und wie es aussieht, wird die Community-Funktion auch einige Überschneidungen mit der bestehenden Gruppenfunktion aufweisen. Tatsächlich haben die meisten dieser Community-bezogenen Zeichenfolgen „parent_group“ als Teil ihrer Zeichenfolgen-ID. Zuerst glaubten wir, dass dies nichts anderes als eine Umbenennung von „Gruppen“ in „Community“ sei. Bei diesen Community-Zeichenfolgen handelt es sich jedoch um neue Ergänzungen, die neben allen vorhandenen Zeichenfolgen im Zusammenhang mit Gruppenfunktionen vorhanden sind, was darauf hindeutet, dass die beiden Funktionen koexistieren könnten. Darüber hinaus werden in einer dieser Zeichenfolgen (unten wiedergegeben) in derselben Beschreibung auch „Gruppe“ und „Gemeinschaft“ erwähnt, was der Theorie, dass die beiden Funktionen gleichzeitig existieren würden, noch mehr Gewicht verleiht.

Hier ist Spekulation Unsererseits, was diese Community-Funktion sein könnte: Community könnte möglicherweise eine Social-Media-Funktion innerhalb von WhatsApp als IM-App sein, ähnlich wie derzeit eine Facebook-Gruppe. Eine WhatsApp-Community könnte mehrere WhatsApp-Gruppen in sich selbst hosten (oder umgekehrt) und außerdem ein dedizierter Kanal für Administratoren zum Senden von Nachrichten sein. Aber im Gegensatz zu Kanälen, bei denen nur Administratoren Beiträge veröffentlichen, die keine Diskussion anregen, könnten Community-Beiträge dies tun Hosten Sie möglicherweise Thread-Antworten, so wie Telegram Thread-Antworten auf seinem eigenen Kanal ermöglicht Beiträge. Es besteht immer noch die Möglichkeit, dass WhatsApp Gruppen einfach in „Community“ umbenennt, und die Zeichenfolgenersetzung ist in dieser Betaversion nicht erfolgt. Es gibt auch noch ein paar andere unwahrscheinliche Möglichkeiten. Angesichts der Geschwindigkeit, mit der die Funktion bei WhatsApp eingeführt wird, kann es auch Jahre dauern, bis diese Funktion zu einer stabilen Version kommt.
